The families of young people unaccounted for after a devastating fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an agonising wait for answers and pleading for clues about their children publicly.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Verified images show the ceiling catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with efforts ongoing to identify the remaining few.

In the meantime, relatives have been using social media to appeal for information about their missing relatives who were at the bar that evening.

Appeals for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are still unconfirmed, according to an appeal from his family.

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is still pending.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and found himself at the bar.

"A close friend told me they ran away after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his teachers commented, "I've always been struck by his good nature and smile, coupled with great maturity. He would frequently offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to sources.

Her sibling has published an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the case.
