Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
