Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Connected to Wide Receiver the Athlete
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night indicating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice and were in communication with the league office.
The organization did not mention the player by name in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.
Allegations Posted on Social Media
Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a set of images on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She stated the individual in question was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that resulted in several individuals hurt. He was sentenced 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice concluded the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a ten-year span.
